A Heavy Weight

After she methodically removed the uniform,
and after she carefully undid the harnesses
that bound her, but before her comforting
attire embraced her, she crumbled to her knees.
She, in her brownness, begged for mercy as
the weight of it all began to asphyxiate her. Her
feeble frame reverted to fetus as the levies faltered
and the malignant river coursed down her face.
